Phoebe Bridgers to broadcast home concert this Friday

“instead of a stage it’s my apartment and instead of a crowd it’s the internet.”

Phoebe Bridgers has announced she’ll play a home-recorded self-isolation concert this Friday (10 April).

Posting about the gig on Instagram, Bridgers wrote: “had this idea to play a show but instead of a stage it’s my apartment and instead of a crowd it’s the internet.”

The gig will be broadcast live over on Pitchfork.

Bridgers recently teamed up with the 1975 for a new song, Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America.

The gig is one of many to be broadcast during the period of quarantine and self-isolation for many musicians, who are finding new ways to bring fans the live music experience while gigs are called off. Musicians such as Neil Young and Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard were among the first to start streaming acoustic sessions, while recently a gig featuring some of the biggest names in rock and pop in aid of the WHO has been announced.
