Pixies release creepy animated video for Catfish Kate

It’s the second single off their upcoming album, Beneath The Eyrie.

Pixies have dropped an animated video for Catfish Kate, the second single off their forthcoming seventh studio album, Beneath The Eyrie, due out 13 September.

The video itself is a creepy one, which follows a blonde woman attempting to catch a catfish for dinner, only to be dragged down into the depths by the massive creature. The three-minute-long clip was created by the Krank! Collective, which was also responsible for Pixies’ Tenement Song video.

In the lead up to Beneath The Eyrie’s release, the band also launched a weekly podcast titled It’s A Pixies Podcast which provides insight into the recording process of the new album. The next episode will be out Thursday, 8 August.

Fans can also look forward to a world tour kicking off 31 August at The Cure’s Daydream Festival in Pasadena, California. Pixies will then tour the UK and Europe before drawing things to a close in La Coruna, Spain on 26 October. They will then begin another leg next year, hitting up Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand over February to March.
