Listen to this intense lap slide cover of Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name
Filmed against a beautiful natural backdrop.
It’s true that, on YouTube, there’s no shortage of interesting covers of metal tracks, using unconventional instrumentation. Rob Scallon alone has covered metal songs on most instruments available – but the above is definitely a new take on the format.
With nothing but a Weissenborn slide guitar and a pedalboard, Dan Dubuque gives us a solo take on the Rage Against The Machine classic Killing In The Name – with a few snippets of Bombtrack, People of the Sun, and Freedom thrown in for good measure. All set against gorgeous, snowy Montana mountains.
Dubuque has also more recently shared his take on Queens Of The Stone Age’s Little Sister, complete with thick, gnarly fuzz. Take a look below.
