Rage Against the Machine are reuniting for a string of US shows next year.

The dates were initially announced on the group’s newly-formed Instagram page. They include two dates at Coachella 2020.

Due to the unverified nature of the account, there was initially some speculation as to the authenticity of the post. However, drummer Brad Wilk’s partner, actor and musician Juliette Lewis, follows the account and liked the post. Associate of the band Wayne Kamemoto also confirmed to Forbes that “the band’s social media is accurate.”

The band last played together in 2011, having initially broken up in 2000, and reforming in 2007. The band members have all been involved in various projects since. Vocalist Zach De La Rocha released solo material in 2016, and guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk all continue to play in Prophets of Rage.

The band are the second group to announce a reunion in as many days, with My Chemical Romance announcing an LA reunion gig yesterday.
