The full release list for Record Store Day Black Friday has been announced. The event, taking place on 29th November will see a plethora of releases across independent record shops – aiming to “shift the culture” of Black Friday towards highlighting “how great shopping in record shops can be”, according to the organisers.

Among the releases is Tenacious D’s first 7” single since 2006 – recorded at Third Man Records, it includes the inevitable collaboration between Jack White and Jack Black. Third Man Records are also releasing a Vinyl LP reissue of Jonathan Fire*Eater’s Wolf Songs for Lambs, cut directly from the original 1/4” analogue master tapes, and Sweet Dreams: The Complete Decca Studio Masters 1960-1963, a three-LP box set of Patsy Cline’s recordings at Decca Records.

Also being released on the day is Jimi Hendrix’s Merry Christmas And Happy New Year. Recorded with Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys in the run-up to Christmas 1969, the medley of Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night and Auld Lang Syne, backed by the Electric Ladyland outtake Three Little Bears, is being released on picture disc, featuring the album artwork and a Christmassy photo of Jimi Hendrix.
