Last week, Gibson CMO Cesar Gueikian shared a photo of what looks to be a new Gibson version of Richie Faulker’s signature Flying V. Faulkner’s signature previously only existed as an Epiphone version.

Faulkner posted a video on Instagram addressing the rumours that followed Gueikian’s post, saying he wanted to set the record straight.

In the video, he holds up two miniature pink Flying Vs, one finished in “starfish pink” and the other in “faded starfish pink.” There’s a white EMG in one, and a Gibson Humbucker in the other. He then jokes that “a lot of heavy bands tune down – I tune up, to A, I think it’s heavier.”

Notably, though, he is sitting in front of two versions of his signature guitar – one with white pickups and one with gold pickups. Is Faulkner’s detailing of the mini-Flying V’s specs a teaser for those of the full Gibson models? We’ll have to wait for an official release to find out.

You can take a look at the video below.
