Shakira’s Super Bowl Gibson Firebird is encrusted with 70,000 Swarovski crystals
The Columbian singer used it during a medley of some of her greatest hits.

When Shakira took to the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show, guitar fans might have noticed she was brandishing a Gibson Firebird Custom – with a subtle modification. The body and headstock are entirely covered with Swarovski jet hematite crystals – some 70,000 of them.
Not that we’re ruling out a DIY Workshop instalment for this particular modification, but we’re pretty sure we don’t have that many lying around the Guitar.com office…
Shakira was performing on her birthday, and gave a medley of She Wolf, Empire, Ojos Asi, Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir, Whenever, Wherever, I Like It, Chantaje and Callaíta Hips Don’t Lie, finishing with a performance of Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) alongside co-headliner Jennifer Lopez.
