Listen to the Shins’ two latest songs, dedicated to late bandmate Richard Swift

The Shins have shared two new songs dedicated to Richard Swift, who died last year at the age of 41. Swift was a member of the Shins from 2011 to 2016. Listen to the tracks below:

Both tracks, written by Shins frontman James Mercer, are part of the Fug Yep Soundation series of 7” releases. Proceeds will go to Swift’s family, as well as MusiCares and Music Support UK. The other 7” in the collection is by Lucius, featuring the songs Christmas Time Is Here and Keep Me Hanging On. Fug Yep’s goal, through releasing these 7” vinyl and supporting these organisations, is to “is to raise awareness for addiction and bring community to those suffering.”

Swift was also a frequent collaborator with The Black Keys, and joined Dan Auerbach in the lineup of The Arcs.
