Sleater-Kinney have announced their latest studio album, Path of Wellness, due out June 11 via Mom+Pop.

Path Of Wellness will be the band’s first self-produced record, and follows the St Vincent-produced The Centre Won’t Hold from 2019.

The album marks the band’s first since the departure of drummer Janet Weiss, who left in 2019. Sleater-Kinney’s remaining members Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein enlisted the help of other fellow local Portland musicians to complete the album.

The riot grrrl luminaries also dropped Worry With You, the first cut off the LP, alongside a music video directed by Alberta Poon.

The video portrays a couple learning to live harmoniously with each other in a claustrophobic suburban home. It also includes cameos from both Tucker and Brownstein, who appear on the couple’s television.

In an Instagram post announcing the record, the band explained the album’s process involved “taking stock of who and what was nearby, upon generosity of time, spirit, and input, but mostly upon a mutual love, need, and gratitude for making music.”
