Not long after adding more shows to their already massive 2020 tour, Guns N’ Roses have revealed that they will be joined on the road for select US dates by legendary alt-rockers Smashing Pumpkins.

The Pumpkins will join GN’R for their shows in Philadelphia, Detroit, Toronto, Washington D.C., East Rutherford, and Boston. The full run of dates begins on 4 July at Summerfest in Milwaukee and concludes on 26 August in Montana.

The announcement came via an Instagram post by Smashing Pumpkins:

Guns N’ Roses began 2020 with a performance at the Super Bowl Music Fest and will resume touring in March with an appearance in Mexico City, before embarking on the European leg of their tour in May.

Smashing Pumpkins are of course no strangers to enormous stages – having taken their alt-rock sound into the mainstream way back in 1993 with Siamese Dream.

What colour guitar frontman Billy Corgan will be playing remains to be seen, but regardless, expect both bands to bring their A-game for the stadium shows at which they share a bill.
