Soccer Mommy has announced two upcoming live streamed concerts this week. The back to back shows will take place later today (15 April) on Pitchfork, and tomorrow (16 April) on Club Penguin Rewritten, a massive multiplayer cartoon penguin online game. You read that right.

Sharing a brief message on the show happening later today, she writes: “I’ll be playing some songs live on @pitchfork’s Instagram this Wednesday 4/15 at 2pm ET – tune in!”

Tomorrow’s show – set to take place on Club Penguin Rewritten – comes as the musicians second attempt to perform to her fans on the game. The first attempt – on 3 April – was put on ice when too many fans tried joining the server, sliding the game offline.

Over Instagram, Soccer Mommy announced she’ll be performing songs off her latest album, Color Theory, and will take part in a live Q&A.

She wrote: ”Very happy to announce a new date for the club penguin (@cprewrittenofficial) event! sign on this Thursday April 16 at 5pmPT/8pm ET/1am BST to listen to Color Theory and join me for a live q+a”.

Since self-quarantine measures intensified worldwide, more musicians have turned to technology as a means to continue performing to fans. Real Estate recently launched Quarantour, an augmented reality concert experience for smartphones.
