Steely Dan were joined on stage at the Beacon Theatre by David Crosby, songwriter, musician and member of Crosby, Stills & Nash.

The band were joined by Crosby for the first two nights of their five-night residency at the New York venue. The band so far have played through the albums Aja and The Royal Scam on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively (15 & 16 October).  Both of these nights saw David Crosby take to the stage, to perform the Crosby Stills & Nash/Jefferson Airplane song Wooden Ships and the Steely Dan song Reelin’ in the Years.

The band still have three performances left at the venue, tonight (Friday 18 October) performing a set of audience requests.

Connor Kennedy, guitarist for Steely Dan, said of the collaboration in an Instagram post: “well, cross that off the bucket list – just played “wooden ships” with David Crosby, as a member of steely dan. actually, that’s a sentence so insane, it was never on the bucket list to begin with”.
