Stephen Carpenter has some serious doubts about the reality we live in. The Deftones guitarist recently revealed his controversial thoughts on the world (it’s flat), vaccines (they don’t work) and COVID-19 (totally overblown).

Carpenter opened up on his revelations – among many others – as a guest on Wednesday’s (11 November) episode of Tin Foil Hat With Sam Tripoli, a conspiracy theory podcast. During his interview segment, he also claimed that nuclear weapons don’t exist, we live in a Matrix-esque simulation and that dinosaurs never roamed the (flat) earth.

Regarding the shape of the Earth, Carpenter offered: “If you think you live on a spinning, flying space ball, you’re in a cult.”

“The simplest terms for my perspective with flat Earth is simply, I know we’re not on a spinning, flying space ball,” he said. “Now, what it actually is and all that [and] to what depths it goes to, that’s all still to be discovered and people are working on those things.”

He added: “I mean if you’re walking on a treadmill, a half a mile per hour, and I unplugged it, you would feel it.”

Carpenter and Tripoli also discussed vaccinations, with the former asserting that there’s “never been one single vaccine that’s ever worked ever”.

“All poisons, you can never get it out of your body, [your] body has no means to expel it, it’s stuck in you forever and you just suffer with whatever it becomes,” he said.

As for his thoughts on COVID-19, Carpenter, with “no disrespect” to those who have died, maintained that the pandemic is the work of “mental trickery” and a mysterious outside source.

“Wouldn’t the homeless population be all you need to know about the virus?” he posited. “I mean, if there was this incredibly deadly, deadly virus going around for this whole entire year, we would have lost everybody on the street by now.”
