All proceeds from the Bandcamp sales shall be going to the Global Food Banking Network, supporting food banks affected by COVID-19 crisis. NTS is fundraising for the same cause, encouraging listeners to donate to the Global Food Banking Network as they tune in.

In a statement about the release, the band described the recording as “raw, primordial, translucent, amusing, rough, heavy-as-fuck and paralyzing,” consisting of riff and production ideas from Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson in the run-up to Life Metal. Read our interview with Sunn O))) here, where they talk working with Steve Albini, dive into the details of their rigs and the challenges of working with all-tape production.
