Oasis’ Liam and Noel Gallagher have famously feuded for, well, what seems like forever.

Matty Healy of The 1975 has called on brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher to reconcile their differences for an Oasis reunion.

The two brothers of the world famous Britpop band have been locked in a feud for what seems like forever now, but most famously the band came to blows in 2009 and have been yet to reform since.

In an interview on Q with Tom Power aired by CBC, frontman of The 1975, Matty Healy, spoke about the drift and encouraged the brothers to “grow up”.

“What are Oasis doing?” he said (transcribed by NME). “Can you imagine being in potentially – right now, still – the coolest band in the world, and not doing it because you’re in a mard [fight] with your brother?”

Healy cheekily said that he could handle the Gallaghers “dressing like they’re in their 20s and being in their 50s”, but not “acting like they’re in their 20s”, before adding, “They need to grow up.”

He concluded, “They’re men of the people, and they’re sat around in, like, Little Venice and Highgate, crying over an argument with their brother. Grow up! Headline Glastonbury! Have a good time! Have a laugh!”

And Healy isn’t the only one encouraging the brothers to get it together – Brian Coxon of Blur (who are set to reunite at a Wembley Arena show in July this year) also said of their Britpop rivals, “Just need Oasis to do it. Knock those brothers’ heads together.”

The 1975 are set to play plenty more shows this year, you can get tickets at The1975.com
