The 1975 have announced their own live-streamed tribute show which will feature performances from the likes of Pale Waves, Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo.

The Face Magazine, who Matt Healy had recently teamed up with to launch his own podcast, shared the news of the tribute concert on Twitter:

Heather Baron-Gracie of Pale Waves will offer up an acoustic rendition of //Sex, Phoebe Bridgers will perform Girls, Clairo will cover Robbers, and Milk will be covered by Beabadoobee.

The news comes alongside The 1975’s announcement that their Finsbury Park show, billed for 11 June this year, will no longer be going ahead. In a statement posted to Instagram, organisers said that they are working hard “to try and get a new show locked in for 2021 – watch this space.”

The concert will be one of many live streams taking the place of regular live music. Series such as MTV Unplugged and the NPR Tiny Desk have changed to showcase performances broadcast from home, and many artists have taken to Twitch, YouTube and Instagram to keep the live music experience alive.
