Trivium’s Matt Heafy is set to feature on a new track, Fall Of Man from guitarist Sophie Lloyd.

Due for release this Friday (24 February), the song will be the second single from Lloyd, who rose to popularity after sharing videos of her playing on TikTok and touring with Machine Gun Kelly, from her forthcoming record Imposter Syndrome.

The album is yet to be given a release date, but it is said to land sometime this year. Heafy wrote about the collaboration on Instagram: “Sophie Lloyd is an immensely talented force of a musician and songwriter.

“I recall first seeing Sophie’s guitar playing online and being truly blown away – so having been a fan of Sophie’s for several years, I was honoured when asked to guest on an upcoming track,” he said.

Heafy continued, “When I learned too that Trivium had been a long time favourite band of Sophie’s – I was humbled and appreciative. With Sophie now fronting both the solo project and being lead guitarist for MGK – there’s no question Sophie Lloyd is taking over. I can’t wait for the world to hear this single.”

Lloyd had recently denied rumours that she had been romantically involved with MGK, who is rumoured to have recently split from his partner, actress Megan Fox. Fox shared her support for Lloyd amongst the rumours and wrote online (via NME): “Sophie you are insanely talented. Welcome to Hollywood. Your first unwarranted PR disaster. You have now been baptised by the flames of fame. It only gets worse from here unfortunately.”
