Trivium have announced details of their next album, What the Dead Men Say. Alongside this, they have released a video for the first single from the record, Catastrophist. Take a look above.

The new LP will arrive on 24 April this year. Speaking about the album’s release in a statement, frontman Matt Heafy explained that the record is a summation of all the musical ideas present in Trivium: “What The Dead Men Say is everything that is Trivium. On this album, one can hear the proper ingredients of past, present, and future Trivium. The Trivium sound is having everything the band does – on one album.”

Guitarist Cory Beaulieu also spoke of the boundaries the band wanted to push with the record: “We wanted to build on the foundation that we established with the last album. The record has all the elements that are Trivium — along with all of us wanting to keep pushing ourselves creatively. This led to a highly-inspired and fast-paced writing and recording process that really captures the energy of the band.”

Matt Heafy and bassist Cory Gregoletto have also been announced as special guests at the Mortal Kombat 11 Grand Finals, Final Kombat 2020, on Sunday, 8 March in Chicago, Illinois. The finals will crown the best Mortal Kombat 11 players in the world.
