Yesterday, Pearl Jam unveiled the animated music video for their new single Superblood Wolfmoon. It comes a day after the Seattle rock band released the song – the second single from their forthcoming 11th studio album, Gigaton.

For the video, the band had collaborated with animator Keith Ross, who is well-known for his Instagram channel @tinyconcert, where he illustrates various musicians/bands with a ball-point pen and animates them.

While most of his previous animations feature only excerpts of popular songs, this collaboration marks the first time Ross has produced a video that spans the entire duration of a track. The music video features an imagery of the moon, before transitioning into hand-drawn caricatures of the band rocking out.

Pearl Jam have been consistently releasing snippets of music from Gigaton over the last few weeks, the most recent being the third video for Dance of the Clairvoyants – described as their first official music video in seven years.

In support of Gigaton, Pearl Jam have announced a North American arena tour that begins on 18 March in Ontario, Canada, and ends on 19 April in Oakland, California. Following their North American tour, the band will begin their European tour alongside Pixies, Idles and White Reaper. The European tour commences on 23 June in Frankfurt, Germany, and ends on 21 July in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
