Coachella has shared footage of The White Stripes’ performance of Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground, from their historic 2003 set at the festival.

The footage is taken from a new documentary celebrating 20 years of the festival, entitled 20 Years in the Desert. The performance is one of the pieces of footage that’s been uploaded to promote the doc. Take a look below:

The uploaded footage is among the clearest of the performance ever seen, as up until now only grainy, fan-shot footage has been made available – compounded by the fact the performance took place before we all started carrying around miniature HD cameras in our pockets.

This year’s Coachella festival was due to take place between 10-13 April and 17-20 April, but because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic it has been postponed until October. Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean are all still due to perform headline slots at the festival.
