Calgary post-punk band Women have announced a tenth-anniversary reissue of their second and final album, Public Strain. It will be joined by an accompanying compilation of rare songs and B-sides from their three years as a band.

The compilation, entitled Rarities 2007-2010, will feature five hard to find or unreleased songs that have now been mastered for the first time. You can hear its opening track Everyone Is So In Love With You below. The song is a departure from much of the band’s studio material, with an even sparser production style.

The Public Strain reissue doesn’t add any bonus tracks to the original release’s tracklist, and comes pressed on clear vinyl, shipping in November. Rarities 2007-2010 will be released digitally on 2 October, with a vinyl release expected to arrive 22 January.

The reissues come via Jagjaguwar, which accurately tweeted alongside the announcement: “Everyone who bought The Velvet Underground’s first album started a band. Everyone who bought Women’s Public Strain started a Bandcamp”.

Women went on hiatus following the release of Public Strain, and would break up following guitarist Christopher Reimer’s death in 2012.

The tracklist for Rarities 2007-2010 is below. It can be preordered on all formats here, or on vinyl here.

A
Everyone Is So In Love With You

B
