Woodpecker Instruments, a relatively new player when it comes to specialised travel guitars and ukuleles, has announced its latest model, the Woodpecker 36” Mini Jumbo.
The guitar’s diminutive body is constructed from a solid spruce top and sapelli back and sides. The neck is African blackwood, as is the fretboard – and the entire guitar comes with a thin, open-pore natural finish. There’s also a mahogany bridge, a bone nut and a bone saddle.
Electronics for the guitar are also optional. The Woodpecker 36” Mini Jumbo carries a street price of $325, bumped up to $379 if you want electronics. Find out more over at woodpeckerinstruments.com.

Woodpecker Instruments has also established a partnership with oneplantedtree.org. For every ukulele or guitar sold, the brand will plant a tree in a reforesting initiative.
