The latest star-studded heavy cover of a classic tune is here, and it’s a doozy. Members of prog-sludge outfits Mastodon and Baroness make an appearance, as well as members of Lucifer and Mutoid Man – and, if you look closely, you can see Marty Friedman shredding away in the centre of the screen for the majority of the video – a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s You Make Loving Fun. Take a look and a listen above.

The cover is once again thanks again to heavy metal talk show Two Minutes To Late Night, which over lockdown has specialised in gathering big names from heavy genres to put their own collaborative spin on a classic, such as Chelsea Wolfe covering Crazy Train with members of Dillinger Escape Plan, or Emma Ruth Rundle, Yob and more covering Kate Bush, or members of War On Women and Vile Creature covering Scandal’s The Warrior.

The above rendition of You Make Loving Fun, the 22nd cover to date on Two Minutes To Late Night – was made possible by the support of the show’s fans on Patreon, as a statement below the video explains: “With so many musicians stuck at home with no outlets, we’re going to keep producing these style videos and use the Patreon to give some money to everyone who has a part in them.”
