NAMM 2020: There’s a V3 version of the MXR Dookie Drive, with unicorn graphics
The pedal’s new artwork is taken from Green Day’s latest – and 13th – album, Father Of All….

NAMM 2020: To celebrate Green Day’s 13th studio album Father Of All…, MXR has launched a limited-edition version of its popular Dookie Drive Pedal.
This edition features a rainbow-spewing unicorn, taken from the record’s cover art, on its brushed aluminium enclosure. The innards of the stompbox, however, remain unchanged.
The Dookie Drive Pedal was launched at NAMM 2019 and quickly became one of the most popular gear releases of the show. It’s based on a 100-watt Marshall Plexi Super Lead that Billie Joe Armstrong used to record the stompbox’s namesake album

Besides the Dookie Drive Pedal V3, MXR – together with parent company Jim Dunlop – launched a raft of new pedals and accessories NAMM 2020. Perhaps the highlight of the lot is the MXR Timmy pedal, which is based on Paul Cochrane’s cult classic, the ‘Timmy’, a hand-built overdrive pedal that commands a hefty premium on the second-hand market.
