Thor himself would be proud to stomp on this. The new edition of Mythos Pedals’ Mjolnir overdrive, built in collaboration with Wildwood Guitars, is a revamped version of the original—but think of it more as modest update than full overhaul.

Compared to the original, the Wildwood Edition Mjolnir promises less noise, is housed in a larger (and more Klon-like) enclosure, and boasts NOS germanium diodes. The latter is only available as a top-up option on the regular pedal.

Everything else, according to Mythos’ Zach Broyles, remains the same. Which is to say the Wildwood edition is a modern-day Klon Centaur that you can use as a clean boost or as a smooth, slightly mid-boosted overdrive.

“This is kinda a reissue of the first Mjolnirs ever made,” he clarified by way of a video introduction of the stompbox. “It has the bloom, the definition, the compression and all the nuances you’d expect from the Mjolnir and other pedals of that ilk.”
