Mythos Pedals has released the Positron Collider, a fuzz pedal inspired by the Ghost Trap from Ghostbusters. The stompbox is built upon a modified Big Muff circuit, but features a variety of unique appointments.
With a clipping switch, you can toggle between classic silicon diode clipping and LED clipping; the latter produces a much louder output. Both options are governed by four knobs: “Focus” (or volume), “Intensity” (or gain), and a two-band EQ (bass and treble).
Lastly, engaging the “Total Protonic Reversal” footswitch boosts output level and bypasses the tone stack, resulting in a full-range fuzz assault that can get ear-piercingly loud.
