Neil Young has announced in a post on Neil Young Archives that he’s in the “final editing stages” of his forthcoming archival release, Greendale Live

Greendale Live follows Young and his band Crazy Horse’s Toronto, Canada performance of their 2003 rock opera Greendale. The project is slated for a 2020 release and reportedly comprises a live album and a concert film.

Young has called the Greendale Live a “labour of love”. “We took [Greendale] all around North America in 2003, set up that massive set over 80 times. Now we are preparing it to share through NYA and theatres,” he wrote.

An unreleased album by Young titled Homegrown is also expected to hit the shelves some time this year. The singer posted an update on Neil Young Archives in December last year, sharing a photo of the vinyl test pressing. He also revealed that Homegrown would be his first release on Reprise Records in 2020. An exact release date for the record has yet to be confirmed.
