Ovation Guitars has released two new Glen Campbell signature acoustic-electric guitars.
Modelled after Campbell’s iconic Ovation “1771” design, each guitar sports a bowl-shaped (or what Ovation calls “Lyrachord”) body and an AAA Sitka spruce top. A 25.3-inch neck – built from a five-piece mahogany/maple composite – is accompanied by an ebony fingerboard adorned with diamond-like pearloid inlays.
Other aesthetic appointments include a sound hole embellished with a maple leaf rosette, as well as a white ABS top binding.
With regards to electronics, each guitar is fitted with an OP-PRO preamp and an OCP-1K under-saddle pickup that are controlled by a single stacked volume/tone knob.
The signature model comes in Natural Cedar or Sunburst finishes, and is available in cutaway and non-cutaway versions.
Retails for $1,829.99. More information at ovationguitars.com.
