Ovation Guitars unveils two Glen Campbell Signature models
The acoustic-electric guitars commemorate the Rhinestone Cowboy’s long relationship with the brand.
Ovation Guitars has announced the release of two new Glen Campbell signature acoustic-electric guitars.
The models take after the late Campbell’s iconic Ovation “1771” design and sport a bowl-shaped (or what Ovation calls “Lyrachord”) body matched with an AAA Sitka spruce top. They each feature a 25.3-inch neck – built from a five-piece mahogany/maple composite – fitted with an ebony fingerboard adorned with diamond-like pearloid inlays.
Other aesthetic appointments include a sound hole embellished with a maple leaf rosette, as well as a white ABS top binding.
With regards to electronics, each guitar is outfitted with an OP-PRO preamp and an OCP-1K under-saddle pickup. A single, stacked knob controls the volume and tone.
The signature model comes in Natural or Sunburst finishes, and is available in cutaway and non-cutaway versions.
Retails for $1,829.99. More information at ovationguitars.com.
