Pearl Jam have released the music video for their brand-new single, Dance Of The Clairvoyants, taken from their upcoming album Gigaton. Watch the video above.

The funk-inspired track is atypical of the band’s typical grunge rock offerings, and was described as “a perfect storm of experimentation and real collaboration” by bassist Jeff Ament in a post on Twitter. “We’ve opened some new doors creatively and that’s exciting,” he added.

Gigaton is due for release on 27 March, being Pearl Jam’s 11th studio effort and the band’s first LP since 2013’s Lightning Bolt. The album also marks the band’s first co-production with Josh Evans, who previously worked with grunge icons Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, Ament and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready.

“Making this record was a long journey,” McCready said in a press statement. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”

Pearl Jam has announced a 16-date North American tour in support of Gigaton, which kicks off on 18 March in Toronto and concludes on 19 April in California. The band will then follow up with a European summer leg that launches on 23 June in Frankfurt and wraps up on 23 July in Amsterdam.
