PRS guitars has announced three 35th Anniversary Custom 24 Models:. The announcement is the latest in a series of product launches from PRS marking 35 years of the company, including a limited rerun of the SE One, and six new SE models for 2020, and two signature models.
35th Anniversary Custom 24
The 35th Anniversary Custom 24 is designed around PRS’ most iconic guitar, the Custom 24, It features 85/15 Treble and Bass pickups, controlled by master volume and tone controls, as well as two mini-toggle switches that allow players to split the humbuckers into single coils. The bridge is PRS’ own tremolo. The guitar’s mahogany body is topped with figured maple, and the mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard, home of course to PRS’ classic bird inlays.
35th Anniversary S2 Custom 24
The 35th Anniversary S2 Custom 24 features much of the same specifications, only loaded with two 85/15 “S” pickups. The same tremolo, coil-split switches and wood choices are present in this guitar.
35th Anniversary SE Custom 24
The 35th Anniversary SE Custom 24 again has a similar loadout, this time with TCI “S” Treble and Bass humbuckers. The SE version is also the only model in the trio to come with PRS’ standard tuners as opposed to locking tuners, however still features a mahogany body, rosewood fretboard and PRS Tremolo. Only 3,500 of the SE model will be made.
All three guitars feature a unique “35th anniversary” truss rod cover, and come in a wide variety of finishes. The prices for the guitars are as follows:
- 35th Anniversary Custom 24: starts at £3,799
- 35th Anniversary S2 Custom 24: £1,799
- 35th Anniversary SE Custom 24: £899
