NAMM 2016: Stone Deaf FX debuts five new effects pedals

Stone Deaf FX has announced five new effects pedals, the Syncopy, PDF 2, Tremotron, Kliptonite and the Warp Drive.

Official info below:

Syncopy:

Syncopy Upright Angled PR

The Syncopy is an analogue delay with 500mS of delay. What it lacks in delay length it more than makes up for in playability, versatility and high audio quality and this is because we use high quality analogue chips and very clever filtering to give you nice lush, crystal clear delay tones. We use true bypass relay switching to reduce switching noise, quality burr brown op amps. In addition to this it is Midi enabled which far an expands its playability and control functionality. Many features in a small footprint.

Features / Benefits:

  • Expression Input, assignable to Feedback, Time and Mix Mod controls (Allows you to assign different delay times, modulations and feedbacks to your own custom delay lines)
  • 4 on pedal pre-sets with expandability to multiple banks via midi input (recall user defined pre-sets from directly in the pedal or expand to multiple banks using standard midi controllers)
  • Analogue Controls for Tone and Level allowing fine tuning to fit sonically with the rest of your board. (Intuitive tone and level controls to match your other pedals sonically)
  • True Analogue BBD Chip Delay (no digital signal paths all analogue design)
  • 500mS of low noise maximum delay time ( low clocking noise delay for clear hi quality delay tones)
  •  Modulation – Add a range of time-bending modulation from subtle chorus to whacked out de-tune oscillations and again all in an very small footprint. (Add a layer of modulation to your presets and define your own tone)
  • 9v DC Supply (Standard power supply friendly voltage of 200mA)
  • Tap Tempo (Accurately tap in your rhythm perfectly in time with your drummer)
  • Tap Divisions (set tap divisions to syncopate rhythm patterns over your playing and tempo)
  • Ultra Bright LEDS for pre-set indication and control (Easy to see controls and intuitive design to sculpt your tone)

Standard midi control, allowing manipulation of:

• Pre-sets

• Tempo

• All continuous controls such as Feedback, Time, Mix

Tap Divisions

Compared to our competitors you have a fully analog delay, in a small footprint with digital controlled recallable banks of saved analog delay lines.

MAP PRICE: GBP £239.99, USD: $299, EU: €315

Tremotron:

Tremotron Angled Upright PR

Tremotron is a tremendous pedal, with a fully analogue signal path, Tap Tempo and Wave shape manipulator, true bypass relay switching, quality burr brown Op amps and with midi control that far and expands its  playability and functionality. You can store and recall 4 user pre-sets with multiple banks available via midi input. Many features in a small footprint.

Features/ Benefits:

  • Expression Input, assignable to Rate, Depth and Shape controls (can create and save all manner of analogue tremolo tones customised by the user)
  • 4 on pedal user pre-sets with expandability to multiple banks via midi input (midi allows for even more presets to be saved and recalled using standard midi controllers)
  • Tap Tempo (accurately sets speed of tremolo with tap divisions available)
  • Analogue Controls for Tone and Level allowing fine tuning to fit sonically with the rest of your board. ( Intuitive tone and level controls to match your overall sound)
  • Variable Wave-shapes Sine, Square, Ramp, Reverse Ramp and more. including making your own. (allows you to make your own wave shapes and combine them together as a layer of sound over and above a standard tremolo)
  • Modulation – By Pressing each of the rotary encoders, you can add another ‘layer’ of volume modulation into the signal. For example your Slow Sine Swell could have a fast Square modulation added to it for a sharper, more prominent tone. (The combinations of wave-shapes using this feature are practically endless and allow you to produce truly unique rhythms.)
  • Tap Tempo (Accurately tap in your rhythm perfectly in time with your drummer)
  • Tap Divisions (set tap divisions to syncopate rhythm patterns over your playing and tempo)
  • 9v DC Supply (Standard power supply friendly voltages of 200mA)
  • Ultra Bright LEDS for indication of preset banks and control. (Easy to see controls and intuitive design to sculpt your tone)
  • Standard midi control, allowing manipulation of:

Pre-sets

• Tempo

All continuous controls such as Rate, Shape, Depth

Tap Divisions

Compared to our competitors you have a fully analog tremolo, in a small footprint with digital controlled recallable banks of saved analog tremolo signals as well as user defined wave shapes for endless combinations of rhythms.

PDF-2

PDF-2 Angled Upright PR

The PDF-2…What’s their to say other than its the successor to our very popular PDF-1, with reduced noise floor, adjustable gain knob and dual foot-switch for clean and dirty channels what is there not to love. Its one hell of a versatile pedal thats applicable to many instruments. Analogue Piano, Bass, Drums, Synth and Electric and Acoustic guitars this little beast of a circuit has been used on. On top of these impressive features it now boasts expression input control feature as standard. One of the most useful pedal based EQ, Boost and Distortions on the market. Nothing comparable in the market.

Features:

  • Parametric EQ with adjustable distortion gain (Players can dial in full tonal spectrum of their amplifier tone.)
  • Frequency response from 35Hz-6kHz (Players can dial in full tonal spectrum of their amplifier tone.)
  • Lower noise floor than the PDF-1(as per customer request) (Quieter than PDF-1)
  • Frequency control knob sweep control via expression pedal (as per customer request) (Can dial in their tone on the fly with their foot using the Expression pedal EP-1)
  • Wah Wah function via expression pedal (Wah Wah tones via expression pedal (clean or distorted)
  • Phaser Function via expression pedal (Phaser tones via expression pedal (clean or distorted)
  • 9v Power supply centre negative (Low power consumption)
  • Footswitchable Dual Channel, Clean and Dirty parametric  EQ (as per customer feedback)
  • (Foot switchable Clean Channel or Distorted Channel)

Compared to our competitors their isn’t a guitar pedal as versatile as the PDF-2 for size, functionality, tonal variance on the market.

MAP Price: GBP: £139.99, USD $175, EU €185

Kliptonite:

Kliptonite angled upright PR

Kliptonite is a dual velcro fuzz and overdrive pedal that splits an op amp based distortion circuit into two halves and mixes them both back in again using the Mirror Mix function on the pedal which is a completely unique design. The mirror mix is unique in that each fuzz and overdrive side of the circuit can be mirrored 50/50, 75/25 or 25/75 and this mixture of each tone can be flipped from one to the other using the foot switch. For example 75% fuzz to 25% overdrive is then switched to 75% overdrive to 25% fuzz.

Features / Benefits:

  • Parametric EQ with adjustable Fuzz and Distortion Gain (roll back the gain of each one using the same control)
  • Frequency response from 35Hz-6kHz (Full spectrum of guitar amplifier tone)
  • Mirror Mix function (allows to switch between different percentages of fuzz or overdrive.)
  • Dual Channel Overdrive and Unique Sounding Fuzz ( Fuzz and overdrive channels)
  • Frequency control knob sweep control via expression pedal (control the tone of the pedal on the fly)
  • Fuzz / Drive Wah Wah function via expression pedal (Wah Wah tones via expression pedal (Fuzz or Overdriven)
  • Fuzz / Drive Phaser function on via expression pedal (Phaser tones via expression pedal (Fuzz or Overdriven)
  • 9v Power supply centre negative (low power consumption)
  • Quick Change Battery Box (quick change over of battery)
  • Cool Ass Graphics (what more can we say)

The Kliptonite has its unique mirror mix feature that sets it aside from the rest of the competition and combined with a parametric EQ and dual fuzz overdrive takes you into territories not often explored.
