NAMM 2020: Suhr is paying tribute to one of the most iconic amplifier designs – the 60s-era Brownface – with the Hombre.

The handsome 20-watt, 12-inch combo is inspired by those classic amps and ZZ Top-like tones, the company said. It also strove to keep the amp as “organic” and “simple” as possible – you only have a volume and tone knob as well as two channels (normal and bright) to play with. You can also crank it up to coax a smooth natural overdrive

The Hombre also comes with a footswitchable tremolo – tube-driven to match its vintage leanings, of course – with its own set of speed and intensity controls.

Inside, the amp has three 12AX7 and one 5ARH preamp tubes and two 6V6GT power amp valves.
