Gretsch has revealed a brand new Electromatic guitar at Summer NAMM 2019, the G5232T Electromatic Double Jet FT with Bigsby. That’s not all – the company has also given its popular G5622T Electromatic Center Block Double-Cut guitar at Summer NAMM 2019, with new pickups, and a range of striking new colours, and there’s even a left-handed Double-Cut in the mix.

The double-cut G5232T Electromatic Double Jet FT has a chambered mahogany body with an arched maple top, mahogany neck and 22-fret laurel fingerboard. Under the hood Gretsch’s new

Black Top Filter’Tron humbuckers provide that classic Gretsch tone, while a pinned bridge and B50 tailpiece give you the requisite wobble.

Colour choices are Casino Gold, Dark Cherry Metallic, Midnight Sapphire or Tahiti Red, which all work rather well with the chrome hardware.

Also new at Summer NAMM, the ever-popular Center Block Double Cutaway model has been overhauled with a selection of new colours and new Black Top Filter’Tron humbuckers.

Options for the new guitars include Aspen Green, Dark Cherry Metallic or Georgia Green with silver pickup surrounds and scratchplate, or Imperial Stain and Orange Stain with gold pickguard and pickup bezels.

And finally southpaws will be glad to see they’re catered for in the Double Cut stakes with the introduction of the new G5622LH model – available in Georgia Green and the distinctive V-stoptail instead of a Bigsby.
