After launching the EL84-driven MOD84 amp, Swart Amplifier Co has been fielding questions from its fans about the possibility of a 6V6 counterpart. Enter the Antares Combo, an all-tube, 18-watt beast powered by two 6V6s that, the company says, creates “holographic, harmonically rich cleans with excellent power tube break-up.”

The Antares Combo is a mash of the MOD84 and the Atomic Space Tone models. It comes in 1×12-inch or 2×10-inch speaker configuration—with your choice of ceramic or Alnico speakers—tube reverb and, borrowed from the Atomic Space Tone, a tube bias tremolo. And as with all Swart machines, every inch of the Antares has been hand-wired and hand-crafted.
