For guitarists who swear by amp modelers but want a touch of vintage class, hit up ValveTrain Amplification for its new powered monitors: the PowerTrain Stage 50 and Studio 20.

Both monitors, despite their retro-inspired good looks, are designed for use with digital amp modelers and preamps, such as gear from Line 6. ValveTrain claims the 50-watt Stage 50 and 20-watt Studio 20 will take some edge off your tone and add glorious, tube-driven warmth. The former is powered by 12AX7s and a 6L6GC while the 20-watt Studio 20 has a 12AX7 and 6V6. And both use Eminence speakers—the 12-inch Eminence Legend EM12 in the Stage 50 and the ten-inch Eminence Copperhead in the Studio 20.
