NAMM 2020: Washburn has debuted the new J40SCE Michael Sweet signature guitar, a large jumbo body acoustic based on the vintage J40.

The J40SCE features a solid bearclaw spruce top in a deep and rich transparent black finish that accentuates the grain pattern of the figured spruce top. It also comes with abalone purfling laid along the outline of the guitar’s top and soundhole, as well as pearl inlays on the fingerboard. Integrated Barcus Berry active electronics also provide users with the option of amplifying the J40SCE’s big, booming tone.

Washburn’s J40SCE is the third guitar to bear Stryper frontman Michael Sweet’s moniker. Both the Custom Shop and regular production model of the Parallaxe-V electric guitars were unveiled in 2018 and featured specifications like Fishman Fluence humbuckers, ebony fingerboards and an Original Floyd Rose system.

Price and availability of the Washburn J40SCE Michael Sweet signature guitar TBC. For more information, click here.
