Matt Heafy is probably best known as the frontman of metal outfit Trivium, but he’s also become quite the personality on YouTube and Twitch. He uploads videos of everything from song demos to covers to video game playthroughs and even martial arts. Most recently, the 32-year-old guitarist put up a clip of himself covering Avenged Sevenfold’s “Unholy Confessions.”

The performance is a casual one—Heafy’s rocking the tank top and shorts look—and while it isn’t the best cover, he does a decent job at reproducing Synyster Gates’ licks and riffs on his Epiphone dreadnought.

Heafy hasn’t only been covering metal songs, either. He’s put his spin on everything from Backstreet Boys to The Animals to Celine Dion in the last few months alone. He’s obviously keeping himself busy as Trivium prepares to head out on another tour in support of their latest album, The Sin and the Sentence. The tour kicks off in Tampa, Florida, on October 3.
