Foo Fighters recently invited a special guest up on stage in Kentucky to perform Everlong: Revel Young Ian, the eight-year-old son of Anthrax’s Scott Ian. Watch footage of the performance below.

As Blabbermouth reports, the budding musician joined the Foos at the Bourbon & Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky last Friday (20 September). After throwing up the horns, Revel – whom Dave Grohl cheekily introduced as “one of my favourite guitar players of all time” – got the classic Foos tune started by strumming its iconic opening riff.

“There goes my hero!” the Anthrax guitarist – who filmed the whole thing from side-stage – later wrote on Instagram. “Proudest dad moment ever? How about when your son gets to join his favorite band on stage to play Everlong in front of 40,000 people and NAILS IT!”

Revel took a bow with the Foos at the end of the performance, even throwing a pick into the crowd. Watch the full video and Ian’s caption below.
