The full performance will be broadcast on 5 and 12 October. exclusively on PBS. Clark performed material from his latest record, This Land, which Clark is currently finishing up a tour in support of. The appearance will be his third on the long-running programme, which over its lifetime has cemented Austin as a core city for live music.
After a Grammy win and a nomination in 2014, Clarke is tipped as a likely contender for the 2020 Grammys. He recently spoke to Rolling Stone about his grammy ambitions, expressing his desire to perform his original material at the ceremony as opposed to being seen as a “tribute dude”.
