James Hetfield

Known for intricate rhythms and occasional lead solos, he shaped thrash metal's evolution. Hetfield's albums include "Master of Puppets" (1986), "Metallica" (1991), and "Death Magnetic" (2008). He's won nine Grammys and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
