M. Shadows (born 1981) is an American vocalist and founding member of Avenged Sevenfold, active since 1999. Known for his evolving vocal style, he has appeared on albums including City of Evil, Nightmare, and The Stage, and has contributed music and voice work to the Call of Duty: Black Ops series.
