Steve Cropper (1941–2025) was a guitarist, songwriter, and producer in soul and R&B. A founding member of Booker T. & the M.G.’s, he co-wrote major hits, won two Grammys, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll and Songwriters Halls of Fame, influencing generations of musicians.
