Cort launches Gold-O8 acoustic
The new all-solid-wood guitar is primed to be one of the brand’s most premium models.
Cort Guitars has expanded its Gold family of acoustics with the Gold-O8, a spec’ed out orchestra model that’s one of the brand’s more premium offerings.
The Gold-O8 is an all-solid-wood instrument built upon Cort’s “modernized X-bracing.” It has a Sitka spruce top, pau ferro back and sides, walnut-reinforced mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. The soundboard has also undergone Cort’s Aged to Vintage treatment, a torrefaction process that allows the tonewood to open up over time. The result: A “big, open tone” with a “strong and warm midrange,” according to Cort.
The Gold-O8 lists for $1,049.99 and is available in Light Burst and Natural Gloss finishes.
