Expect fusion guitar pyrotechnics when Martin Miller and Tom Quayle swing by Singapore for an exclusive Guitar.com Masterclass this April.

The two Ibanez artists will be in Asia to talk technique, music, their signature guitars (the MM1 and TQM1) and, of course, answer any burning questions from the floor. Unlike in a typical guitar clinic, Miller and Quayle will be performing as a jazz duo to provide a full, immersive demonstration of why they’re regarded as two of the hottest guitarists in the world today.

More than their virtuosity, the guitarists are renowned for their melodic approach to jazz, fusion, rock and progressive metal – just check out their refined take on Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely

Miller is acclaimed for his lightning-quick crosspicking technique and his improvisational chops. His session band – in which fellow Ibanez guitarist Andy Timmons has made a guest appearance – have earned millions of views on YouTube, and even John Petrucci has called him a “monster player”. He has a solo album due to drop this year, so keep an ear out for that.

Quayle, on the other hand, is one of the foremost legato players in the scene, counting the likes of Greg Howe, Brett Garsed and Dweezil Zappa among his admirers. He’s known for popularising the all-fourths tuning through his YouTube videos, for his in-depth lessons on advanced guitar principles, and for his online tuition packs.

If you’re in Singapore on 7 April, join us at The Star Vista at 6.30pm for the masterclass with these two maestros. The event is completely free, but in order for us to gauge attendance and create a better experience for all, please fill in the form below.
