Danelectro has pulled the curtains back on three new electric guitars: the 60th Anniversary DC59M, 12-string DC59X12 and 50s-inspired DG64XT. Each model boasts classic Danelectro aesthetics as well as versatile pickup configurations. Here are the details:

DC59M

This special-edition guitar commemorates the 60th anniversary of Danelectro’s definitive electric model. The brand has retained the guitar’s iconic double-cutaway Shorthorn body shape, but added new sparkling finishes: Deep Blue Metalflake and Silver Metalflake.

For electronics, the six-string sports a pair of NOS+ lipstick single-coils – voiced for sparkling, jangly cleans – a three-way selector switch and stacked volume and tone controls. Hardware highlights include a fully adjustable wraparound bridge.

Retails at £549.

DC59X12

This guitar’s star feature is a pickup configuration of a single-coil at the neck and a dual lipstick humbucker at the bridge. The former is touted to produce a warm tone that’s great for jazz, while the latter boasts useful coil-tapping capabilities.

Other notable features include a Shorthorn body shape – similar to the DC59M – a player-friendly neck along with a fully adjustable chrome die-cast bridge.

Available in Black, Cream and Dark Red. Retails at £599.

DG64XT

This axe takes its cues from a Danelectro 50s classic: the offset, reversed double-cutaway model. It derives its tone from an angled single-coil at the neck paired with a dual lipstick humbucker at the bridge angled in an opposing direction. The guitar features master volume and master tone controls, with the latter enabling you to coil-tap the bridge pickup.

The guitar also boasts a Wilkinson vibrato bridge system that’s designed to return to zero pitch with the help of two components: a straight string pull and a precision-cut graphite nut.

Available in Black, Vintage Cream and 3 Tone Sunburst. Retails at £699.
