Budget-friendly guitar brand Harley Benton has launched two new ranges of acoustic guitars, the CLO and CLG Series.

Available in both solid and non-solid builds, the new guitar lines offer up 8 new models in total, with each guitar featuring a solid mahogany armrest, and prices ranging from £183-£308.

The CLO Series is an Orchestra Model-inspired range. On the all-solid end, the CLO-70ASR NAT and CLO-70 ASR SBK are constructed with solid spruce tops and rosewood back and sides. There’s also a C-profile nato neck and rosewood fingerboard, as well as the staple mahogany armrest offered across the CLO and CLG series.

Both the CLO-70ASR NAT and SBK have a satin finish, with the NAT opting for natural look. The SBK has a darker, more rich feel, offering a sleek black alternative.

The CLO-70SR NAT and SBK variations go down the non-solid route. Both offer the same specs and colour options, but have a lighter ply rosewood construction.

On the flip side, the CLG Series offers Auditorium-style all-solid acoustics. CLG-70ASR CE NAT and CLG-70ASR CE SBK are the most costly offerings, costing £250 and £308 respectively. Both have a solid spruce top with solid rosewood back and sides, with the C-shape rosewood fingerboard. There’s also a cut-away design.

While the blueprints are similar to the CLO-70ASR NAT and SBK, the CLG series also has a few added perks. There’s a built-in Fishman PSY II preamp system, allowing players to plug up to an amp for performances or in the studio. The CLG is designed with acoustic noodling and bolder on-stage performances in mind.

Again, both the CLO-70ASR NAT and SBK guitars are available in natural satin and smooth black.

The CLG-70SR CE NAT and CLG-70SR CE SBK are the non-solid equivalents. Aside from the rosewood ply back and sides, both models offer the same specs.
