Harley Benton has released a new version of its ST model, the ST-62RW BK Hot Rod.

The guitar is, for the most part, drawing on the same classic design ideas as the other STs, with the same basic outline, a C-shaped Canadian maple neck, a pau ferro fretboard fretboard and 22 frets.

Where things take a left turn is in the electronics, wherein you’ll find the single-coil-sized Roswell SHR Hot Blade ceramic humbucker loaded into the bridge position for some extra beef, accessible via the 5-way blade switch. If, however, you want a more traditional sound, the middle and neck pickups are Roswell STA Alnico-5 vintage single coils. And, if that’s not enough twang, a push-pull tone pot allows you to split the bridge humbucker.

The guitar’s basswood body comes finished in gloss black, with chrome hardware and a tortoiseshell pickguard. Other appointments include Kluson-style tuners, a synchronised tremolo bridge and an incredibly wallet-friendly price tag.

The Harley Benton ST-62BK Hot Rod is available for £133 / €149. Find out more at harleybenton.com.
