Guitar builder Knaggs Guitars has launched the Kenai-J, a flat-top single-cut available in numerous finishes and pickup configurations.

The guitar’s mahogany body shares a shape, bar the flat top, with the standard Knaggs Kenai. The set mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 22 frets and a 12” radius.

The guitar’s bridge, in keeping with flat-top single-cut tradition, is a one-piece wraparound hardtail, with adjustable saddles to keep the classic feel while maintaining easy intonation. At the other end of the guitar are Vintage Kluson tuners and a bone nut.

The no-frills approach is retained in the electronics, with a single volume and tone knob, controlling a variety of pickup options. You can order the guitar with either a single bridge humbucker, a single bridge dog-ear P90, two humbuckers, or two soapbar P90s. The two-pickup versions also come with a three-way selector switch. The guitar’s thin semi-gloss finish comes finished in either Tobacco BlackBurst, Crème, Olive Drab, Ferrari Red, TV Yellow, black, Sonic Blue, or pink.

There are a number of custom options that can be applied to the guitar, including different maple tops, fretboard and headstock binding or different body wood.

The Kenai-J starts at $3,650, not including custom order options. More information at knaggsguitars.com.
