Luna Guitars has announced its latest acoustic guitar, the Henna Dragon Spruce.
Like many Lunas, it features a laser-etched design – this time a dragon design by UK henna artist Alex Morgan. The design tops both the headstock and the body of the guitar.
Luna guitars says about the choice of artwork: “for centuries, the symbol of the dragon has held a prominent role in the folklore of many cultures around the world. To this day, the dragon is most commonly recognized by its spiritual meaning, giving off the aura of courage to those that need it the most, strength to prevail, and protection from danger. The Henna Dragon Spruce Acoustic-Electric harnesses the symbolic power of this majestic creature, both spiritually with its stunning design and physically through its high-quality materials.”
The Henna Dragon’s grand concert body comes with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, as well as a deep cutaway for full access to all 20 frets. The C-shape set mahogany neck completes a 25.5” scale, and is topped with a 15-inch-radius pau ferro fretboard. Along this neck are Luna’s signature Pearloid Moon Phase inlays. The laser-etched henna dragon design is also represented on the headstock along with the Luna Guitars insignia.
Electronics-wise, there is a Luna SL3 pre-amp with built-in tuner. Other features include a NuBone nut (a derivative of Graph Tech’s highly resonant TUSQ material) and sealed die-cast tuners.
The guitar lists for $249. Find out more over at lunaguitars.com.
